The Scale of Deeds (Al-Mizan)
Linguistic Root: و-ز-ن (To weigh with absolute balance, calibrate)
Core Conceptual Overview
Al-Mizan is the divine balance on Judgment Day that measures the true moral and spiritual weight of our deeds.
وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا
“And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all.”
Deep Dive & Significance
God does not simply tally numbers; He weighs the sincerity, effort, and purity behind every action. A small kind word said with pure intentions can outweigh thousands of empty gestures done for show.
Linguistic & Thematic Gem
“On the divine scale, the sincerity behind an action matters far more than its outward size.”
Daily Practical Application
Never look down on a small good deed—a simple smile or a kind word can weigh heavily on your scale.
