Separating Pure Islam from Tribal & Cultural Traditions

Conflating cultural patriarchy with Islamic theology is a major category error: 1. **Judge a Philosophy by its Principles, Not its Violators**: We do not judge the Hippocratic Oath by malpractice doctors, nor democracy by corrupt politicians. Similarly, Islam must be evaluated by the Quran and authentic Sunnah, not by patriarchal tribal customs in post-colonial regions. 2. **Islam Fights Cultural Injustice**: Pre-Islamic Arabia practiced female infanticide, forced marriages, and tribal blood feuds. The Quran explicitly outlawed these practices. Where cultural practices re-emerge, it is due to lack of Islamic literacy and socio-economic deprivation, not Islamic doctrine. 3. **Universal Brotherhood**: Islam obliterated tribalism ('He is not of us who calls to tribalism' - Abu Dawud), establishing universal ethics above all national traditions.
